Startups Pave the Way for High-Def Video on the Web
Video on the Internet has gone from being the next big thing to the current big thing. At the DEMO 08 conference, several startups are showing off their more practical methods for doing Web video in HD.
Anyone with a computer and a camera can put a video online, however, there's a lot of room for improvement. The next step is to put high-definition video online. It's currently possible, but the cost of sending it through the same process as standard Web video is prohibitively high for most ventures.
